Dr. Shelley Brittain practiced Internal Medicine in the Upstate of South Carolina for more than 16 years before relocating with her family to Roseburg in the summer of 2008. Dr. Brittain and her husband, Marc, were drawn to the area by the wide river valleys, the surrounding green mountains and the proximity to the coast. The rural setting and the endless outdoor activities were a perfect fit for their interests and lifestyle. Her teenage kids, Laura and Lee, have also fallen in love with their new home, and the whole family is committed to the Roseburg community, supporting the local schools, businesses and charities in and around town.
Dr. Brittain completed medical school at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC in 1989. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine through the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, SC, where she served as Chief Resident in her senior year. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and practiced initially in Simpsonville, SC, followed by 13 years as a partner at Internal Medicine of Greer in Greer, SC. As an internist, she particularly enjoys the long term relationship that her specialty offers and values the friendships she has developed with many of her patients.
